Here's how to convert hardness measured with different durometers to the same
unit:
If the durometer drops or throws a projectile at the material under test,
divide the kinetic energy at impact by the volume displaced. The result is in
pascals.
If the durometer presses a ball into the MUT, divide the force by the area of
the resulting indentation. The result is again in pascals.
Different durometers' measurements do not correlate well, so they will measure
different hardnesses for the same material. But at least they will all be in
pascals.
