The top line of the home page of this site is wrong off the bat. All those involved in the passage of the Metric Study Act of 1968, the MetricConversion Act of 1975, and the amendments, were elected members of the House and Senate. I get a burr up my xxx every time I read such tripe about "un-elected bureaucrats." The bureaucracy cannot advance metric without legislation empowering them to do so. The people of the U.S. have ample opportunity to respond to proposed legisation, and I believe it is better to respond to that than to respond to a media sound bite or a tag line on a rebel Web site.
