What a poor example the adult set for the students! Better to have used a decimal fraction with degree C, then do the thing in degree F.

Speaking of gloomy stuff (like Reagan's stuff), on the webcast this morning (in California) of the total solar eclipse from Turkey a group of students was filmed doing a chart of the falling temperature as the moon's shadow approached.

The leader of the student group (an adult) related the data to the announcer in degrees F. This from a group of Turkish students. Maybe it was because the temp only dropped about 5-6 deg C and they wanted more detail.
