Actually, Three Dog Night was an American band from the 70s with such hits as “Joy to the World” and “One (Is the Loneliest Number)”.  They took their name from the Australian _expression_.  Personally, I’ve always used “Colder than a witch’s t*t.”  How many degrees Celsius that is I couldn’t tell you.  It depends on the time of year.  It usually involves something below freezing.  However, when I was in Florida in February and the temps were from 3 to 10 degrees, it qualified to me.

Funny I thought Three Dog Night was an ancient band from the sixties :). Never heard of the other expressions.
