It isn't too confusing for the Chinese, Indians, Europeans and others who now
are the world's largest producers of manufactured goods. And they are all
metric. Germany continues to be the world's largest exporter. Literally
flooding the world with metric designed, engineered, manufactured and serviced
goods.

Yet, how are American exports of manufactured goods doing? America is a lot
larger then the US, both in size and population and should be out selling
Germany that many times more. But when a country like the US is anti-metric
and doesn't work in metric it provides an incentive not to buy American goods.

I wonder how the authors of these articles would feel if they realized that
metric countries sell lots of goods and America sells near to nothing. How
many goods once produced in the US in inches are now produced elsewhere in
metric? How many Americans would be singing a different tune if they realized
that by not being metric they threw away their middle class life style?
