The European Commission supposedly provided a website for those who wish to comment on the proposed deadline of 2010-01-01. It was open until 2007-03-01. i haven't heard anything further on this either. Has anyone else?

I haven't heard any action on that in months. Is it floating in a committee somewhere? I figure they have till about 2008 to introduce such an amendment because it'll probably take about two years for all the industry to adjust. I'm glad the EU is standing firm on it's deadline but haven't heard of any action on our side of the pond. Anyone else heard anything? More evidence that many companies will respond to an amended FPLA by quickly labeling their products in metric only. It'll be interesting to see how the bandwagon effect operates at that point (both here and in Canada). Especially since I had written to them asking them to do so a while back. I'm enclosing a picture for all your viewing pleasure. It still has those nasty USC measures on there but at least it's a nice 1.25kg. Now to go buy some of that potato salad and see if it's the same way :).
