It would be soothing to see "0.86" instead of "3.24" for a posted gasoline
price, wouldn't it? Right now, in my home town, unleaded regular is about 86
cents per liter.Thanks to the soft drink industry,  A liter is now a metric
unit of volume that most Americans understand very well. But, would they
understand it in bulk? Would they appreciate filling their gas tank with 40
to 60 L?
