Here is an interesting post I found on a travel site posed just a couple of
weeks ago by what appears to be a resident of the UK. Here's just another
example of how failing to standardize on metric world-wide creates unneeded
hassles for people!

====================

The Koga and the Thorn are both very different bikes and I hope you can find
the time to try them both out - it's hard not to imagine you strongly
preferring one or the other. I recently tried a Koga and found it just as the
previous poster says- a hard ride. A bit idiosyncratic too - come to think of
it, the Thorn is but the eXp is such a great frame. OTOH, one minor problem I
had with my Thorn (a Raven, not the same quality as eXp) was that the seat pin
bolt broke in Spain and two bike shops told me it was Imperial thread and not
metric and couldn't do a proper fix. I was fuming at that, couldn't believe
Thorn wouldn't have thought of that, but never checked it out once home. I had
it reamed out to metric standard in Germany later when the temp replacement
bolt broke. So watch out for little things like that which can bite you in the
****.
