I don't think it's fair that as a banned individual "Daniel" is using a huge collection of email addresses to get his specialized message across. So I've attempted to stop that by formalising it as a thread. However this is the first and last time I'm going to respond to this and I'm only doing it because I don't want people getting the wrong impression and actually believing him.
<<Stephen Paul Humphreys seems to think I have a vendetta against him. I have no such thing. I oppose him strictly on the issue of metrication.>> Why was the my local supermarket's telephone number emailed to a few 'pro-metrics' addresses? Why did you email "Berenger" asking him for my home telephone number, in the hope that he would know it from research he has done? Why would a chap in Ohio, USA want to know these thing? Of what use is this information to you? <<<What would I (or anyone for that matter) gain by writing directly to Stephen Paul to ask questions? Surely not the truth. In the BWMA forum Berenger has more then once repeated to Steve: Again, trying to steer this thread back on topic.......I was in Tesco Express again today. Here's today's list of the new 'imperial' items I found1)There must be something else apart from cream substitute & milk!>>> Answer: Should people have followed the link they will have seen that it had turned into a name-calling contest (although I was not competing). It's not fair to use that out of context and you could see from exchanges with "normal" pro-mets here on the USMA forum that I take the issue seriously when the argument is sound and free of pedantry and insults. Sorry to say, "Dan", but quite a few folk here on the USMA forum have asked me questions off the list. Those people did not strike me as stupid people who I could just lie to in order to make the UK look more imperial than it really is considering that all they need do is jump on a plane and take a short holiday here to find out. Or listen in on a UK based radio show, etc etc. <<To which Stephen Paul never gives a reply. If Stephen Paul.....>> I have never been known as "Stephen Paul". No one has ever called me by that name. You can call me Steve or Stephen. "Daniel", as we know has been called many things (as in euric, kilopascal, ametrica etc) but he originally posted as John P Schweisthal. The same script has existed from the very first time he decided to give himself anonymous names - that is, the same script of dollar collapse, euros for iraq oil, dollar collapse, Brits being poor, The break up of the UK, dollar collapse, etc. <<Stephen Paul's tactics caused the Yahoo BWMA forum to shut down and the proboards forum to be reduced to two members (himself and Berenger). >> "Daniel" (John PS) posted to "dozensonline" that Berenger had got the yahoo forum to close down and is now scaring people off the new forum. Make your mind up "Daniel". <<My original post that Stephen Paul found to be nasty wasn't intended to be so, it was intended to be humorous>> Does this go for the "behind the scenes" emails? How about trying to get my home phone number? How about publicising where I work? Was that humorous? <<I'm sure Stephen Paul also sees kilowatts with regards to cars too, just like he sees a massive amount of metric only labelled products in Tesco (the Imperial Store), but refuses to admit it. >> No and not quite. And if the UK was as metric as you pretend it is then why be so bothered about it - surely the "job's done"? <<Dan>> As in "John P S" <<P.S. If anyone is wondering why I have used his full name, it is because it is fulfilling Stephen Paul's desire to use real names. I wouldn't want Stephen Paul to feel insulted if I didn't call him by his full real name. >> Except you are the first person in my life to call me "Stephen Paul". And that is where any conversation with you ends (from me). Anyone who is prometric should by now, I hope, realise that metrication in the US needs "Daniel" (aka..) like a hole in the head but if you need further convincing then see the trash he spouts about America on the Peakoil forum as "euric". _________________________________________________________________ Free games, great prizes - get gaming at Gamesbox. http://www.searchgamesbox.com
