But the BIPM *doesn't* accept those symbols.  They are non-SI.  Your 
recommendation is that we use
your modified system instead of the metric system for mass because of a purely 
academic or
aesthetic issue.  I cannot disagree more strongly.  The most remarkable and 
important quality of
the metric system is that it is an internationally accepted standard.
