A stellar explosion was observed on Earth last Wednesday. Astronomers
report this event occurred 7.5 billion light years away -- halfway
across the universe.

Near enough for astronomical math, a light year is 10 Pm. That puts this
stellar explosion 75 Ym away (75 yottameters). Thus, the universe is
roughly 150 Ym across. No need here for a larger prefix. Stating the
mass of the universe might be a different story, though.
While I'm at it, reckon an astronomical unit (mean Earth-Sun distance)
as 150 Gm.
