Someone signing as "Ametrica" has sent me a reply, including a few
others on the "to" line, about my posting on the dangers of converting
units. The author asserts that M8 screws come only as M8-1.25 mm and
that I must have M6-1.00 screws.
Why hide behind an alias and why not address the entire group? My guess
is that [EMAIL PROTECTED] is a person previously banned from the list. I
am adding this address to my Junk filter.
The M8-1.00 × 60 cap screws I purchased at Lowe's were made by Hillman
with part number H#883198. They are labeled
Hex Cap Screws
Metric Fine Pitch
So, yes, M8-1.00 screws do exist.
