Though the executive branch is less important than Congress on this issue, Obama's evident fondness for science and reason is definitely cause to reiterate our own calls for change (Obama's favorite word, after all). It's really too bad, however, that the person who wrote this item on change.org lives overseas, and that some others who provided positive comments appear not to be living the the US either. Calls for US metrication originating from abroad in such a forum, designed to let Americans appeal to their government, do more harm than good. We need a lot of Americans voting and commenting to try to offset that negative.
