Two points:

Firstly, it was a 1-Jan-2010 requirement, not 2011 requirement.

Secondly, the metric-only requirement has not been officially dropped yet,
the changes are still winding their way through the EU bureaucracy, though
there is enough consensus for anyone to plan on "no-change" regarding
planning for 1-Jan-2010. (See
http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/prepack/unitmeas/uni_ms_en.htm for details of
progress of the EU directive).

The comments by "Safiel" in the Hannity forum are interesting, but I'm not
sure about some of his facts. Didn't the EU drop the 2011 metric-only
labeling requirement some time back?

He also says that there are "many metric enthusiasts in the Obama
administration, including Obama himself". Does anyone know of any
statements by Obama on this subject? Or by any of his appointees?
