This is similar to the de-decimalisation of word processors. It is about 
promoting the use of fractions - more commercial obfuscation perhaps?

* I have seen where the The Apple computer company uses centimetres divided 
into halves and quarters for their word processors.

* Jim Frysinger has told me that the new version of Microsoft Word also uses 
halves and quarters to divide centimetres.

Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington would roll over in
