I 'voted' (not expecting to be able to - I am not a US citizen), and looked
at the results. Only two main voting blocs - no, and yes. (The other two in
between vote options were irrelevant in terms of numbers.)
62.5% voted no, almost 37% voted yes. I suppose that could be considered as
relatively positive in a country like the US - i.e. the pro-metric part of
the overall population is probably much stronger than is realised. Is this
enough to persuade the powers that be to 'go for it'?
