We have been using the Atlantic brand lamps for years because they're reliable and easy to maintain. (The Sanitron model allows the fragile quartz sleeve to be cleaned in place.) The bulbs use a constant 36 watts, produce 254 nanowaves of light for 10,000 hours or around 14 months and come in a variety of voltages. I’m thinking they mean 254 nanometre wavelength light. Odd relationship to the inch! Mike Payne
