Now that I'm fixing more things, I've just came across something else
that is basically metric with non metric components, in this case a
Husqvarna Chainsaw developed in Sweden and I'm sure 100% metric, but for
which the carburettor is made by Walbro,

lost a screw and found that it's a 4-40 x 0,16 screw, on googling that I
come up with Unified Thread Standards

chances of me getting one here in France are pretty slim. I might just
try the local mower/chain saw place and see.
