This increasingly sounds like a PHY-layer issue of some sort to me.
When you plug/unplug the cable between your computer and the radio, what
does "dmesg" have to say (I assume LInux) about it?
Are there any untoward comments in the kernel/driver log?

When you're pinging, do you get an blinky lights on the N310,
indicating
that it has seen your traffic?
