If you're still interested, I've still got a set of chrome tyre valve caps, hex-head ones with the lada badge inset into the top, also got a genuine (and extremely rare) Lada sport steering wheel by Astrali (leather trimmed with brushed aluminium spokes) in nearly new condition. I've also got those wheel spacers kicking around in the garage ready for your alloys, all you'll need is the longer wheel studs/bolts to suit. email me off group if you are still interested. Would be nice to see the "pimped Riva" once you get the finishing touches on it.
What's the next step? Tuned 2 litre twin cam? I reckon a Ford pinto lump with 5 speed box could be persuaded to fit. popular choice of engine as fitted to Ford Sierra's etc, with a huge range of inexpensive tuning parts available. failing that, what about a nice Rover V8? again easy to get hold of, and being all alloy wouldn't be too heavy for the front springs.
To hell with the purists! it's your car, have fun with it!

Paul, can you send the photos you took of my Lada at the sprayshop last week? Can't do it on my PC.
Cheers, Rupert.
