Let me get my facts straight. OK, here I go. In Cuba, all UAZs are from the
Army or police. Army UAZ is green. Police UAZ is beige. Mostly.
So, there are no private UAZ or UAZ built for civilians in Cuba. So, I have
been writing to this guy in Poland and he got back to me today. He wrote this
sentence about department of defense  UAZ has thicker metal than civilian UAZ.
I cannot assert on this. The UAZ I had in the past has thick metal. I do not
know what gauge type, it only seem to me. So, early this year, there was this
guy selling a UAZ in Ebay for $18000.00. A UAZ he said to be titled as 1965 but
was new in 1992.Yes, I know UAZ was not built in 1965, but any way, I went to
see it. I drove for 4 hours to Houston and I found the car. From the moment I
saw it, I was under the impression that this UAZ was a kit car or toy car. It
was really thin (the metal) The metal and the steering wheel. I drove this car
and yes, it is not 1965. However, it is green painted and it has off road
tires, therefore, I would say it is Army. I do not know, but is UAZ from after
1990 built with cheaper/poor
quality materials, thin metal gauge? Or, it may be that this UAZ in Houston is
civilian? which one?
So does UAZ vary in metal thickness?
I look at UAZ's pictures online and not all cars have the same color. Yes, I
know some have faded paint, but no. I see different colors, some times
shining, some times dull. It may be the camera lens, the light in the
picture, the angle and distance the picture was taken, the atmosphere, air,
anything. So does UAZ have different quality of material after and before the
1990? or it is civilian vs department of defense. Can the color of UAZ  shed
any information.

I think the Audi dealership's owner made a clever move. I wonder if it was
always a museum even from before the end of the cold war.

Has anyone in here ever been to the Latvia/Riga motor museum?

There is a collection of East-European cars.

Is there in Russia similar place as the Latvia/Riga museum?
