O gigante sentiu as bicadas das gaivotas: A noticia abaixo foi dada no ZDNet pelo gerente do produto Office da Microsoft, Chris Capossela.

Os formatos XML estarão abertos e sem pagamento de royalties pelo uso: "The formats are industry standard XML 1.0 and the schemas are available on a royalty-free basis".

Interessante a colocação do executivo, e a bom entededor meia palavra basta: "Our value is not tied to file format, but to the user experience and quality of the software." Capossela said.

O articulista acrescenta: "Now that’s a refreshing point of view, given how in the past Microsoft has often made it difficult for others to parse the file formats."

Alvíssaras!
