...which brings back my old pet subject:  Is there a compelling reason we
can't just ditch more.c entirely and replace it with less(8)?

SCO did that more than 15 years ago now--their "more" command is just the
1992 version of "less" with the name changed.  It surprises me that
here it is 2008, but in this one particular (and admittedly fairly minor)
respect, SCO OpenServer is *still* more advanced and usable than any linux
distro I've tried.
