The first couple of years I worked with Linux, the default way to install was via
floppy disk. SLS and Slackware were set up so everything fit on floppies. I don't
know how well Slackware supports floppy-only installs now (my guess from reading the
README is that it would be difficult at best) but you could always install a really
old version... looks like 4.0 was the last to cleanly support floppy-only install.
