My personal opinion is that KDE feels a bit more Windows-ish, which
I don't particularly like.  I use Helix Gnome and the Sawfish window
manager at home, work, and in the CS labs and I have it configured
in a manner that bears little resemblance to Windows, but fits the
way I do things.

I think they're both great desktop managers that have features that
will endear them to different kinds of users.  I'm sure that a
competent administrator could set up a standardized corporate
desktop for either one that your average employee could use with
the same ease as a Windows workstation.
