When you share a connection with NAT, you're also sharing an ip address.
This means that connection attempts to that ip address will (by default)
go only to the gateway machine that owns the ip address. It's possible,
by several different means, to forward connection requests on a
particular port on the gateway machine to a specific machine on the
internal LAN. The problem is that only one computer on the LAN will be
able to take connections on that port.
If anyone else knows a better way around this, I'd be glad to hear it.
