Hi all,
Here's the setup:
RedHat 6.2 box running Samba and a Win98 Box connected with crossover cable.
I put my new Laptop running Win98 SE (soon to be Debian) on the network
(bought a hub, new cables, put my crossover away), modified my smb.conf, and
all works well.
Now the problem is getting my laptop to work at my on-campus job w/out
having to reboot it. I tried setting up 2 logins on the laptop, but the
network settings are global.
Basically, at home I set a static IP address on my subnet, at work the IP is
assugned automatically. Is there a way to set Samba to auto-assign the IP so
I don't have to change my Win98 settings and reboot? or do any of know how
to set up Windows to do both?
Regards,
Jeremy
