Although others have given useful responses, I thought I'd add a note that
might help.

> 1) How can I get Network Neighborhood working?

You will commonly hear of this type of service as SAMBA, which is just the
nice version of the SMB protocol which Network Neighborhood is using.

> anyone know how?

Check out Gphoto/digikam programs, they should work, although what I prefer is
that most camera's are accessible using the 'USB Mass Storage' system, which
let's you mount the camera just as a drive. I prefer this method, as I can
just point my filemanager at the mount, and I get the thumbnails, which I can
then copy to the appropriate folder. This is especially nice for me when
using my web root nfs mount, which I can then copy to my Apache::Gallery
system.

See above.
Anybody ever try and see if grio works with other drives, I've never botherd
to attempt it?

> 4) How do I get Flash to run on Mozilla?
There is an rpm on the flash site, or the tar.gz file has a readme that gives
the very simple instructions.

> 5) How do I get Quicktime movies to run?
as mentioned, mplayer with the openquicktime plugins.
