[uug] Glut libraries

I am trying to get OpenGl to run on my home machine. It has Redhat 8.0 on it. When I compile (using gcc or g++) it doesn't find the glut library (#include GL/glut.h). I'm not sure if I just don't have it or if something is messed up with my path. Any ideas?
