The problems stem from the fact that Mozilla, when compiled with gcc 3.2
cannot load the java plugin from sun, which was compiled with gcc 2.
The solution would appear to compile the blackdown JDK (1.4.1) from the
blackdown people with gcc 3.2 and use that and their java plugin instead
of sun's.

For now all the other distros build mozilla with gcc 296 (or 295) and
then java works fine.
