Somebody in my building decided to give their workstation a static IP
without registering with OIT. Turns out, the IP they chose was the one for
my web server (Zola).
The problem seems to be fixed, but now Zola can't see outside of the switch
it is plugged into. For instance, from my boss' office in the JKHB, I can't
ping or telnet to Zola, but I can telnet to the server right next to it
(Clovis). I then can telnet and ping from the Clovis to Zola, and from Zola
to Clovis, but not from Zola to my professor's office. I get "Connect:
Network Unreachable".
I've restarted the network, and even rebooted Zola. I've switched ports on
the switch and cycled the switch. What's next.
PS - Did I mention that the site for our conference next week is being
hosted on Zola?
Regards,
Jeremy
