Thanks a lot.  That was it.  I have a program called wmmail that runs in
the slit in fluxbox to tell me when I have new mail.  I ran ps -aux|wc
-l, and got over 1800.  When I ran ps -aux, I saw a ton (about 1800 :) )
wmmail processes.  Anyone know of a good replacement to wmmail?
