Acer is making Tablet PCs, is this what your wife was looking at? If so, the Acer model, while extremely compact and convenient, is hardly a powerhouse. It's fine for browsing the Web and word processing and such, but I think it's a bit pricey for what you get. I think they typically have approx 800 MHz, 256 MB Ram, 20 GB HD, and you have to pay extra for a media drive. How much are you looking to spend?
-- Ammon >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 04/01/03 8:29 PM >>> Ok, so I'm trying to get my wife a laptop. She saw some laptop in the byu bookstore that looks similar to the Sony Picturebook series but she said it was made by Acer. Anyhow, i can't seem to find the dang thing on their website. So now she's hooked on getting one of these little tiny picturebook style laptops. I know Byron has the Sony Vaio one, but does anyone else own something similar? She doesn't need a super machine by any means. She just wants to be able to create her web pages, browse the web, check email, etc. Suggestions are extremely welcome... -- Glen Wagley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://uug.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://uug.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list
