I've had some thoughts about the
because-of-reply-to-headers-I-get-two-copies-of-any-reply-to-my-own-posts-problem.
It seems to me that mailman is behaving correctly because it uses the
"From:" field to check if you're subscribed. A "Reply-To:" field isn't
good enough. So if your "From:" field is correct (you can post to the
list) there's no need to have a "Reply-To:" field _unless_ you want the
reply to go somewhere else besides your "From:" address. In which case
you will get two copies of the email just like you wanted, one at your
"From:" address and one at your "Reply-To:" address.
So the moral is, if "From:" and "Reply-To:" are the same address, you
don't need "Reply-To:" and probably shouldn't use it as that's not what
it's meant for.
If you're mail server isn't configured correctly and you get
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" instead of "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" as your "From:" address
then either fix your mail server or put an entry in /etc/email-addresses
like so:
me: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
There might even be a way to do that in your home directory instead of
/etc. I'm not sure.
