I believe that it is possible to have (support) both. You're next question would then be, "Which one do I want to use?" You should check with your PC or motherboard manufacturer to find out which one the board is best designed for. If you get no info like that, you could try fishing around at the website of the manufacturer of the motherboard chipset (ex Intel 815).
