It might be a good idea to decide who is going to talk to the press, before the event. I know we're all very smart, but it's amazing how even smart people can act like morons when a camera is turned on. Are there any among us who are well-spoken, well-dressed, etc. who would make good spokesmen (or women, as the case may be)? If there are I'd suggest we all decide to refer all media questions to a predetermined person or group of people -- and those people may even want to brainstorm questions and practice their answers.

The local papers/TV stations will usually send someone out if they receive a press release for an event. (While in HS I pulled an April Fools joke and got my picture in the paper because of the press release announcing the prank) We just need to draft up our intentions and include some good quotes from our leaders and then fax it to all the local media - they'll come running (after all, this is Lindon we are talking about) Nathan ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://uug.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://uug.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list
