You can also start clicking around in a gdb frontend like ddd and watch the
commands it uses in the gdb window.  With ddd you can always type a gdb
command down in the gdb window too, so you can transition yourself away from
the GUI if you so desire...

Here's [0] a really in-depth site, and here's [1]
another tutorial similar to Byron's.

If you tab out, you'll get a list of all the commands,
and typing help before the command gives a brief
overview.
