I am starting a project to develop a system that can record and index sessions of discussion of code to "auto comment" them with audio files. I am looking for some way of knowing what is on the screen at a time and where the mouse is. Right now I am pursuing an approach that takes an open source remote desktop application (VNC) and changing the messages set from the desktop to be sent to a file instead.
My question: Does anybody have any thoughts about a way to do this? VNC seems to be a bigger program than I really need, but it is the best thing I've come up with so far. Thanks.
