Ahem, I think half of my posts to uug contain some rendition of, "Look into OpenBSD". Seriously, it's great for older computers -very small install, very functional, very cool (I think its a 3-4pt coolness level increase).
Start here [1]. The FAQ is less of a FAQ and much more of a manual; there is a ton of info there. Infact, I've rarely read anything about OpenBSD outside of their website and local man pages.
