Ximian, if I'm not mistaken, are the makers of Ximian Gnome, a flavor of the popular Gnome desktop for linux (I use windowmaker myself). Ever heard speak of Red Carpet? That's by Ximian, too. If this is indeed the Ximian that Novell bought, there are many in the linux community who know who they are.
