I enabled the "talk" daemon on my server by editing the /etc/xinet.d/talk and /etc/xinet.d/ntalk scripts, restarted xinetd, and now it _appears_ to work. But what happens is when I type "talk someuser" it says "Waiting for them to respond", and when they type "talk ross" /theirs/ also says, "Waiting for them to respond" and I get a "talk: connection requested" message from the Talk_Daemon. If I then try to type "talk someuser" again, same deal. It's like both our requests are going right past each other.
Any suggestions? ~ross ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://uug.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list
