Sun's JSDK (or JRE) 1.4.2 is based on gcc 3.2, so it will work fine with
the new firebird.  Due to licensing restrictions, jpackage can't offer a
real download package for j2sdk. They are supposed to have
build-it-yourself rpm, but I can't get it to work.  just download the
RPM from sun (1.4.2) and you'll be fine.
