I'd be really interested in having Tux in some vector format that OpenOffice actually understands. I know it can do wmf because that's what StarOffice uses for clipart.

I know, we've got our own install fest this Saturday. There's another
one coming up in a couple of weeks in Salt Lake, if anyone's interested
in helping out there, too. Ryan from SLLUG is coordinating volunteers.

SLLUG'ers (and other Linux folk in Utah),

On September 27th (a Saturday) XMission will be hosting a "Linux Install
Fest". The Salt Lake Linux Users Group has been invited to support the
event by providing additional "expert" staff. It will be held at XMission
(47 East 400 South, Salt Lake) from 10am - 7pm. The time will be divided
into three sessions. Here are the times:

10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (This session already full!!!)
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Volunteers are needed from the group to assist attendees installing Linux
on their machines, and teaching users some getting started basics. Space is
limited, we can only accept 5 individuals per session. If you would like to
participate in this event please post to the list, or e-mail me, stating
_which sessions_ you would like to attend. Please also include which
distribution(s) you are familiar with so we can try to provide individuals
with diverse knowledge to the event. You do not have to be a kernel hacker
or other guru to assist another person in installing Linux. There will be
many individuals there with a lot of specific expertise that can assist
with the harder installs. If you have installed Linux more than 4 times on
a few different machines you should have enough knowledge to assist most of
the attendees with getting Linux running. Of course, if you have more
experience that is better.

We would like to fill up this list as quickly as possible. These events are
a lot of fun, and they are a great way to "give-back" to the community. If
you can't attend, you can still help. Pass information about the event to
others who might be interested in installing Linux.

Thank you in advance for your support,
-Ryan Simpkins
