Last summer I researched a lot and ended up with the Archos Jukebox 20 (20GB) -I really like it. Since then, better players have come out. I personally feel the iPod is, like many other (not all) Apple products, way overpriced. I've never used one, but seriously, it /can't/ be worth it. These are the factors that I'd consider if buying another. 1) ogg support - very important, especially down the road. 2) functions/features. Make sure you love the interface and that it has all the features you could want. If not check to see if anyone has created an alternative interface for it (a la http://rockbox.haxx.se/). 3) Good quality sound output. 4) Long battery life / rechargeable batteries.
