That said, many XML applications which format english text for presentation follow the example of XHTML by making use of the <BR/> tag. But it all depends on the application.

Correction: XHTML uses <br/>. Case matters in xml.

it.

In my defense, I do know that XML is case-sensitive, and always (intend) use lower case (I hate looking at all-caps tags or attributes). I don't know how that <BR/> snuck in there, I must have been temporarily posessed by some demon...
