friendly, helpful uug people: So I have a buddy with old laptop that doesn't have a network card or CD, and he wants to copy a bunch of files to it. It is loaded with DOS.
A long time ago, in DOS land, I used to copy stuff between computers with a serial (null modem?) cable. I have long since forgotten the details of that depraved time. Is this the right cable? http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=50023590&pfp=SEARCH I can't remember, does DOS come with some sort of terminal emulation program, or somesort of serial connection file transfer program? If not, is there a good small free program that will fit on a floppy?
