Just found the answer. The original fedora respository at www.fedora.us has an apt tree of the latest thing. Just changed my apt sources.list and now I am downloading a few (but quite all just yet) of the packages now. And because apt isn't as flexible or as smart as it should be, I'm having a ton of dependency problems. Kind of reminds me of my experience trying to move my debian install to unstable... I noticed they finally have mozilla-1.4.1 in the tree now. That's nice since the rpms from mozilla.org were 1.4 and rpm never could figure out they were newer than 1.2.1. Will post on how successful I am at apt-get upgrading (heck I've done full installs of RH 9 before with nothing but a bootstrap chroot root folder and apt-get!)
