Exactly how much space is being used on the CD at this point with these packages? Why not modify the disc to be self-bootable into a scaled-down Knoppix distro while containing win32 binary packages for installation onto a Windows partition? That way, not only would the students get a taste of some of the Free Software while they are in Windows, but they can try booting to GNU/Linux from the same disc.
