There's already a way to eliminate the inappropriate content, and it
doesn't require any more technology than we had when movies were first
created. The way is simple: Don't watch movies that have inappropriate
content!

I realize that there are people out there who will say that this method
eliminates almost everything coming out of Hollywood lately. In fact,
/it does/! In the end though, that's probably a good thing: if The
Industry knows that there is a large enough group of people who would
prefer to watch no movies at all, rather than suffer through the bad
parts, then just /maybe/ they'll start making a few good movies again.
In that regard, EDL may actually be counter-productive: if Hollywood
knows that people can just filter out the bad parts, then Hollywood has
no incentive whatsoever to make movies that don't have any bad parts.
