I have a client who needs a linux server. It is for a very small office (two people daily, 7 or more frequently), and needs to be fairly cheap. I was considering one of the Walmart machines.

From what I understand, not all of the software that comes with Lindows/Lycoris/SuSE is Free/OSS, which wouldn't be a big deal, since I plan on replacing the distro anyway. My only concern is with drivers. I want to make sure that the hardware is well supported outside of these specific distros.

I know a few people on the list have used these distros, and I seem to recall at least one person posting saying he had bought one of these $200 PCs already and (I think) liked it? Anyway, can someone confirm that all the hardware in these systems have OSS drivers? Or at the very least, drivers that are well supported outside of those specific distributions?

Thanks,
        Adam Augustine
